Went out last night to check out the bubbles but they had them off. So I paddled over to richardson and started throwing a medium diver crank on a hump and caught a sandbass. Then all of the sudden I heard what sounded like "pops" all around me and noticed sandbass/hybrids busting the top like crazy! Most were too far away for me to paddle too in the yak so I tied a slab on and started casting to the ones I could reach. Caught another sandbass and a small (14" or so) hybrid. Didnt get over there in time to catch much more but man it was awesome seeing them bust the water like that smile

Hey guys i am looking for some navigational tips on BB.. I have not seen the lake in 4 years and when i did see it that day it was from mustang park and the water was pretty low. I could tell at least that area of the lake was pretty sticky. I been told by numorous people that the lake is sticky. With the lake only being 15 mins from the house I have always passed it up for this reason. I would like to start fishing it, as it is on my way to work now and i could start spending some time on it before i head into work. I have looked at my navionics app on my phone and it doesnt show any timber at all. I have not looked at my insight mapping on my HDS5 as the boat is in the shop at grimes getting its yearly check up. Any insight is very helpful.. Thanks in advance

Lots of trees. No data on naviontics or lake insight for benbrook. I always hated that, but after years of fishing it I have compiled my own data. I have almost every tree marked with in inches with a stop sign among other things. Be carefully out there. If the fishing at benbrook does not humble you a tree at 40+ mph will. Don't run at speed on pretty much the entire east side of the lake also up on the south end.

tha catchin' is my favorite part.
