I fish for two or three different reasons but the most important one is this.When I get the boat in the water and turn around to head out on the lake the worries melt off my shoulders into a puddle on the floor.I am in my own little world and I am on my personal island.I am free, free to open my eyes and embrace all that is in the world in front of me. Time has no meaning as the day passes without slowness or speed but at a pace that is undetectable.And when the day nears the end I always wonder where the time went. What he said.......Plus, work sux...lol

It's just one of several things I like to do.
I can't explain it.
Need to improve my LMB fishing, running out of time.

I fish because I can. I fish because I love the anticipation of a fish taking my bait and running with it. I fish because I feel like I can honor God with less distractions. I fish because I'm an addict. +1

I enjoy the idea of fooling them into biting something plastic,and the enjoyment of being on the lake at sunup!! I fish weekdays only so its very serene!

I love to fish for big bass. I've loved fishing for 60 years. You watch what happens when your fishing with others, and someone hooks what they think is a big fish. As soon as that big fish comes into view, everyone starts to either yell or laugh. Every time! Its like you just accomplished the impossible. One day Last week, I fished for 12 hours at Joe Pool. Thinking about it on the way home, I realized I hadn't smoked a cigaret, eaten anything , nor had a drink of water during that time. I caught several fish but all small. Finally at about 6 pm I hooked a big fish. Like big fish sometimes do, he swam strait up, jumped, and threw my jig. He was beautiful. That made my day.

I like beating mother nature at her game. I like teaching my kids very important values that can easily be learned while on the water. I also fish now to support my family, which is very unique in and of itself.

While in the USAF twice I had to be taken to the base hospital to have fish bones from boneless fish fillets removed from my throat now I just fish to hurt the dang things.
Long time bass fisherman, in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida, West by God Virginia,Minnesota,Indiana,Canada and now my new home state of Texas.
