I read that a couple days ago...interesting thoughts. Even though I fish a lot of these kind of things as a co, I think I sort of agree.

I think these events should be one man one boat against one man one boat. I think there should also be more local tournaments that are one on one, no partners allowed.

good read, bet every pro will always say now what box the fish needs to go inside. Before and during the tourney to his co.
All this can still be avoided with cull rings, if both or just one had cull rings in there fish and a fish goes in by mistake, it is easily identified. So basically a $20 cost can save you $1,000
There are other issues besides this. Anyone see the one on Table Rock where Stacy King had 3lb spot on and the co knocked it off with the net. I know Stacy was pissed but he kept his cool on TV. I would much rather net my own fish and just have the co get the net for me.

Interesting situation. I personally have never had anything like that happen in my boat and I had not even heard of it happening before to anyone else. That would be a horrible way to lose a tourney (or end up finishing lower than you should have).

Fishing solo takes a lot of the variables out of the equation. It eliminates many ways of cheating, and a lot of what ifs. (If my co-angler wasn't with me, how many of his fish would I have caught?) Etc, etc. I agree with a one on one format.

I always tell my co which well is his, where all the safety equipment is located, and to just set the net in the water and I will guide my fish into it, dont care to have people jabbing at a fish I just hooked. How did they find two co's as stupid as those two? What is there to explain to a co? "I sit on this side and the box behind me is mine. You sit on that side and the box behind you is yours. Do you understand me so far?" LOL

I would think it would be allot easier for someone to cheat if they were fishing solo also.

I do find it odd that it happened twice in the same T.

These go under the heading "lesson learned'. There are solutions to fishermen and their livewells.
I found it strange that Jim Moynagh had to turn back all his fish, return to the weigh in area and restart. That seems to me like they punished him over and above. Why not just have the director remove the largest fish in his side and release that one fish? He probably lost weight because of it and the co-angler lost the fish too so that would have solved the problem. Instead they were made to start over.
In the FLW the co-angler is a much bigger part of the tournament than in BASS or so it seems to me. I think they won't make any move to stop the 2 man per boat tournaments. Its just too good of a thing for them.
I am wrong but you can not prove it, you just believe it enough from the bottom of your heart.....

Not too difficult Mr Elite Angler. Two livewells. Make sure your fish go in one and the CoAnglers go in the other.
