I use it on spinning rods all the time. Works great for me Me too - on spinning reels -cause it eliminates the dreaded loop problem but I use a flora carbon leader with that, to keep that braid away from the treble hooks (it tangles so bad) but on everything else - Bait Casters and Spin Cast straight mono 17# (unless it's winter time when I use a 25# leader on everything to prevent break off with doubles).

I use braid on all my reels... Spinning reels.. But i hear braid is junk for saltwater fishing off the bank... Never tried saltwater.. But i love braid in our lakes..

I find power pro to be over rated throughout the years of using braid...
I recommend suffix by stren.. Suffix is very good stuff and is much smoother than power pro..

I'm a braid guy, I do have mono on a few of my rods for more inexperienced fishermen/ women. That 54 lb cat in my sig was caught while sand bass fishing at Hubbard on 50 lb. braid. Probably would never have seen her on 15 lb. mono! You just never know what you may set the hook into.
Now I will say do not get into a fight with braid, cause you will lose! Meaning don't think you can horse a wasp nest out by pulling and jerking on it like you may try mono, it cuts to the bone. Ya I've lost before.
Good fishin Mike

Im like storm. I use Braid for everything. When Crappie fishing I put 18" of florcarbon. (SP) I also use leaders for Hybrids and stripers. Just stronger leaders.

I have two rods set up with 20 lb Power Pro with 10, 12 or 20 lb florocarbon leader depending on where and what I'm fishing (coast, reds, trout, 20 lb floro).
I like the sensitivity, but man, that stuff will tangle up with a top water without a leader!
I like it. Mono still has its place and have rods with 10 lb mono for the same purpose.

Mr. SandJohnny sorry for slow response. Still learning to use this thing. EM was the spot. Last Saturday was very good , but the wind was howling, and lake was rolling. Learning every trip. Gotta' tell you a quick story. Decided to try Tawak two weeks ago. Drifting watching the electronics, and OMG up jumps a "fire ant mound" I had seen you post. Tossed a marker and caught fish for the next hour. Be back out there this weekend in the Kenner down the cove from AC. Thanks forsharing the knowledge.

You can tell by my call name what i think about braid. I started using it when Spiderwire first came out. I went to Stren Super Braid which is now Stren Sonic Braid. I use 40 lb on the baitcasters and 20 lb on my spinning reels. Braid is the only thing i use. I fish some ponds that have fairly clear water and do not use a leader. I fish RC and CC for sandies and hybrids and never use a leader tied to the braid.

I have braid on all my lure rods and use a 20# florocarbon leader. The leader serves a couple of purposes. You can break it if you get really hung. It stays out of the hooks on topwaters and slabs better than the limp braid.
One thing I have done is changed from 20# to 50# braid. Backlashes come out lots easier.
