The B.R.A. did a dam site proposal 30 years ago for this.
A dam at horseshoe bend backing up water to mineral wells.

Why just one new lake? Texas needs about 5 new big reservoirs strategically placed all over the state.

I like the idea of new lakes but don't like the thought of loosing bottomland. There won't be much left pretty soon.

They're building a new one right up by Bonham right now... going to be pretty big too.

Rockland was supposed to be huge but I think they scrapped that idea

Restore Rockland progect on the Neches it would back up from Rockland to Dibol. Need new state politics to get it.It died with Ann Richards.
