If you like to eat them well fish on. If not its ok more for us that like to eat them.

Been busy on some other projects but I am still committed to this one. I got the full lake reports in and It's a doable plan but there is a significant expense. I really need citizen input to warrant the expense. Some emails to back me up if I am called to justify the expense would be very appreciated. Right now the response has been kind of light to implement the program as I would like to see it.I am very sincere in the fact that I strive to be a good steward of the assets in my care and I have to balance the funds expended vs the people ultimately benefited by the program. As it sits I would greatly appreciate some emails sent to aid justification of the program. The email address ffm listed needs a period between my first and last name to get to me.

My job is to serve the public but if I can't prove I am reaching folks it is hard to invest funds in a small demographic that is hesitant to give feedback after multiple attempts to solicit it. I want to make my areas nice for you guys and gals but it is precarious for me to invest a significant capital outlay based on a handful of responses. I do not want to phase the improvements in over time. I could use some feedback.

Whatever the case may be it is a pleasure to work for you guys.

Anyone who fishes Denton bodies of water, please take a moment out of your time and send an e-mail regarding any improvements (i.e. certain species you'd prefer to added, increased, or maintained in any/all Denton lakes/ponds, better lighting, etc.) you'd like to see in Denton parks with lakes/ponds to Mr. Jim Mays @ Jim.mays@cityofdenton.com as he is dedicating his time/effort to better our fishing experience, but needs our help via our input through e-mails to justify his work to the powers that be in the City of Denton. Just found this forum today and love it. I am a Denton local and will be sending an email. I have always seen folks pulling small cats out of North Lakes behind Metzlers. I thought they would not be safe to eat as there is obvious run off water from the streets. I was surprised to see people actually harvesting out of local ponds. I feel a quarterly clean up of the actual lakes might help folks like me get into the local fishing. I know UNT has a dive class and Lee the professor and owner of island divers is a real stand up guy. Perhaps we could team up with them and the keep denton beautiful team to do a quarterly clean up.

Your input in very important as he needs it in order to justify the allocation of funds that will be used to provide the best fishing experience in the city.
