Went to lake Arlington yesterday and it was suffocating still. Not a breeze. Was out there from 1pm to 8pm and only caught 1 on a wacky worm. I tried a carolina rig deep, jig deep, cranking deep......finally decided to try shallow with a T rig worm, small crank bait, ect......Totally threw everything I had at them....What am I missing? It is frustrating when I cannot beat the conditions, or adapt to them....

Pound boat docks, find a creek channel with some kind of current if possible. Fish around bridge pylons, rip-rap.If its dead slick 1st thing in the morning, I'm chunkin' a Topwater!

If no luck, stick it in the tail....also try a Hags F4 or a RoboWorm 5" Zipper...

Fish SLOW....

I like a finesse jig. A real light weight with a slow fall

Pop-r

Middle of the day, find overhanging structure with shade.

skip the pop-r up under the limbs etc way back int he shade.

let it sit, slightly twitch it every now and then.

when the brim start messing with it, let it sit. the comotion from the brim nipping at the hair on the back hook is too much for a big bass to handle and boom.

you'll have a bass with a brim half way down it's throat and a pop-r in it's jaw.

greedy BASStages

Anything but a spinnerbait. Tight to cover and shade.

Slow way down and use natural colors. When there is no chop on the surface they can get a good look at your bait and unless you get a reaction strike it's gonna be a long day.
