If the wind is comin from the north is the north side of the old dam any good for catfish and sandbass? Always got me on the south side with he south wind but never any luck with the north side with a north wind.

The channels are in the rocks right now, don't matter which way the wind blows. Get you some good punch bait. Happy Trails

A frirnd of mine marks big cats in the cut every time he goes through there and keeps telling me i need to fish it. I just haven not gotten around to it yet. Perhaps he knows a thing or two. He is a celebrity after all!

Sunday morning, the channels were in 1 - 3 feet of water off any rocky point. Caught using live shad or stinkbait under a float.

ive been out there 3 weeks in a row. i noticed the fish will but sparingly between 9-12am and after that... when everyone starts to give up and head home. they turn on. the bite is constant on minnow and worm. i need to get a net again to get the shad. ive seen a couple guys out there from time to time killing the sandbass. anyways if you see me give me a holler. im usually wearing my basketball shorts, black tee and camo hat, camo backpack during the summer.

Caught um again this morning on Sureshot. The bigger fish are out a little deeper, 4 or 5 foot.

I was right out in front of the dam on fish hatchery rd actually about 1000 feet north of the new dam. I was in rough water trying to catch a 50 pounder in 50 foot deep water, I have never had any luck but I try it anyways because I know its a good one if I hook on to him way down there.... Anyway so nobody says (your not gonna catch any fish in the middle of the lake...) I was just out there JUST NORTH OF THE NEW DAM LAKE LEWISVILLE, I saw on my fish finder it looked like a herd of buffalo, a bunch of big rainbows from 35 to 50 feet , so I put out 2 lines. No bites. I had to head to shore so I clicked MAN OVERBOARD on GPS. Went back 2 hours later to the exact same spot and couldn't find any more herds of buffalo... Can somebody tell me what kind of fish this could have been? looked like a big school of blue catfish... Oh I forgot to mention when I was there it was tore up monday afternoon just barely raining and 20 mile an hour winds

I went out yesterday on walked about half way down the dam and fished the s/e side. Got lots of bites lots of small small cats and one 24in left at 11:00am as the rain was getting well WET. I was using Sureshot and I think allot of bites was turtles.
The wife and I had half of this fish for dinner just amazing the amount of meat on the bigger fish.
