He don't fish much either. He's on a temporary financial break. That's why he's in 18th place

Not currently being a member of CBC, depending on if certian rules are changed and closer lakes are used, we may join next year. Such as not being able to fish a lake more than once a year, distance of the lakes, tournament director MUST check live wells at all CBC sponsored tournaments, especially jackpot tourneys, when I was an officer the VP and Asst. Tourney Director checked live wells, lake nomination held to 3-4 instead of several, being able to fish a lake in the year end regardless of whether it was fished in the current or previous year. I have seen clubs who give members a survey of which lakes they would like to fish and for what month, majority vote selects lake and you know each month where you are going without having a vote at the meetings. Worked very well too. I know I am just giving my 2 cents and it will not make a difference, but there you go.

Good ideas. We can suggest them in November and vote on them in December. Maybe come 2013 season, some of those will be new rules.

I may be wrong for once in my life...LOL, but I believe there would be more participation with somethings like this. Back again, the economy is terrible and most people want to stay relatively close to home when they are footing the bill themselves with no help. Just a suggestion.

I don't buy the economy card. 13 people showed up to the Waxahachie tourny last month with nice weather while others are upgrading to newer boats. I can't afford anything newer than my 98 Skeeter right now yet still havn't missed a single club tournament in the 5 years I've been in the club. Even fished some by myself. People just don't have the incintives or determination to make it to club tournys. That's gonna have to change for next year. More incintives for people to want to show up to meetings and tournaments. (Which may include me switching clubs if that's what people want)

If the trading new boats comment was for me, my payments are $50.00 more a month for a larger and 1 year old boat. Guess we can see what happens. I can tell you though, for about 7 years when I was VP "back in the day" the club fished closer and more people showed upmat the meetings and tournaments.

KVS don't understand why any one would want you to leave. You show up and fish every tourney and consistently weigh bags in. If anyone thinks negative towards you then they need to show up every tourney and challenge you.If people want to fish then fish. If you can't afford it then don't. Also I would have to agree with Bassinfool about closer lake will generate more entries. It's a proven fact we see it on Tuesday and Wednesday nights week in and week out. Cleburne consistently pulls 10-14 boats weekly. Alvarado pulls 12-14 boats weekly. Some guys fish both. If it's truly about man vs. man then it doesn't matter where we fish. Keep it real and keep it close. If someone wants to go to different lakes all the time then there are trails everywhere. They are unlimited. You and I both witnessed first hand how the economy is affecting fishing in the I35 Media Series.

Yeah, I beleive a 75 mile radius would be plenty. We never get to fish Hubbard, Lewisville, Grapevine, Benbrook etc. I'm sure that might pass come December.

Man that sounds like Alvarado Wed Nights. Looks like Spencer has been fishing a lot more this year too. Guess him and Brad teamed up again?
