this is a very good pile on lake waco that i fished the past years and can always pull a few off. it looks like nothing is there, but u cant always tell .Most times if your fishfinder is set correctly if u have it set on fish symbols, which I like to do, it will also show a fish arch, very close to the fish sysmbol. look closely at the top of the pile, do u see a few arches? ![](http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx42/leaninpost/100_0796.jpg)
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

I started working the pile over with a medium sized bait, with no takers, Then I remembered the important lesson I learned last year, after the spawn,, DOWNSIZE to get them biting. I tied on a tiny custom tied jig by BOB r CUSTOM jigs. they started hammering it, and the biggest fish, actually came on the tiny jig. After they started getting rilled up, I started using both the CC special by lights out tackle, and the bob r, on 2 seperate poles. can u spot the bob R jig in the pic? ![](http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx42/leaninpost/100_0797.jpg)

Nice Bp, and nice fish. I used to have a few jigs that sized and they always caught fish. Now they are all gone. ![frown frown](/forums/images/graemlins/default/frown.gif)

Dave its south of the pile u and treebass fished during the tourney. someone has been fattening up the existing piles, and adding more lately. sure is nice of them.!! will be building many on the northeast side of the lake soon.

Nice Bp, and nice fish. I used to have a few jigs that sized and they always caught fish. Now they are all gone.
I was kind of skeptical, after the typical way of thinking that big baits always = big fish. well just as everything else abt crappie, im seeing that doesnt always hold true., This tiny grey and black jig really got thier attention. I think with the huge moon we have had the last few nights, it really slowed the daytime bite some, so having a few little tricks in the bag to eek out a few here and there, can surely make a difference. Why they will hit a very small jig, I dont know, maybe they think its a young minnow, and easier prey, because its not as fast or coordinated. Im convinced that it got them biting where otherwise they wouldnt.
