Did you see my recent post? "Largemouth Bass Marinade". I hated fishy tastes as well, and I came up with a marinade that works. Also, try different sauces. remoulade sauce (red) is one I recommend. I also like malt vinegar on my fillets. You HAVE to try my marinade just once. If you can still taste the bass, let me know. I use to HATE all fish. now I soak them all in this marinade.

I've found that whether it's catfish, crappie or whites if you cover and soak in milk for about an hour and then cover with a batter of eggs and Zatteran's cajun deep fry mix prior to the frying pan it will melt in your mouth. The longer and crunchier you cook it the less fishy it tastes.

Crappie or Tilapia. If you don't like those two you're screwed on fish eating.

If you don't think it's good then it more than likely never will be. Sounds like it's more in your head than anything and that's ok. You might even eventually get to a point where you can eat a little and sort of tolerate it but more than likely will have to force yourself to eat it. I'm sure there are to many good foods out there that you enjoy eating as opposed to forcing yourself to eat something you don't care for. Don't listen to the dude that said try the sushi. I'm a devout fish lover and I struggle with Sushi.

I'll take fresh sushi before fried fish anyday, and I LOVE fried fish. But good fresh sushi is probably one of the best styles of food on earth.

Well if your looking to break in slowly try a Filet-O-Fish at McDonalds...LOL...there bland but tasty...as was prior posted I grew up in Walleye country too - Lake Erie, I would say Walleye is the best eat'n freshwater fish there is, next would be a YellowPerch followed by a Crappie - all these fish MUST come from cool waters, as the water warms up past 65 to 70 degrees the flavor changes...as far as salt water goes two really stand out to me fresh grilled Mahi-Mahi or a fresh grilled Tuna steak...Mmmm my mouth is a water'n !!!...and if ya get the chance to go to the East coast go when the Rockfish - a.k.a. Striped Bass are a running a fresh filet stuffed with fresh crab meat is to die for...I'm gunna stop now !!! and that is my two cent's...

Striped Bass is pretty hard to beat! Beer batter fried with cole slaw, hush puppies and a ice cold Shiner. Good stuff Maynard!!!

Like he says, but I think you should catch a mess of crappie and instead of Zatteran's cajun deep fry mix just shake them in some Old London Italian style bread crumbs (lightly salt and peppered) ...... if you don't like that then you are never going to like fish.

I add Salt, Pepper, and generous amount of Butter, then wrap the fish with aluminum foil and bake. works for me.
