Never been to ivie so I am thinking a few pre trips might be in order

YC, be careful....dont run per electronics...there is still a lot of water but if you try to run your boat wide open and just watch your graph your gonna be in trouble ...You'll see...its an awesome lake but dont give em all sore mouth before I make it down there

Somebody help... I plan to attend. Anybody looking for a partner. I will be coming from Abilene. I have no boat but totally don't mind bank fishing. Have own gear of course, I just don't like fishing alone especially on an all nighter

So honestly, how dangerous would it be for me to show up to Ivie for the first time to fish at night? I can't make it down there before the tourny...except for that Sat during the day. Are there lots of partially exposed stumps? I fish at night all the time, but only on lakes I have been to many times during the day and that aren't 40 feet low. I don't go all out on those lakes either though...I aint stupid.

Is the Kennedy ramp the only one open?

long as you have a spotlight and a partner and you dont try to run full throttle you will be fine just make sure ya take your time and have your partner help you locate stumps the main channels are fairly stump free and we are starting the tourny with a few hours of daylight left to help avoid any bad encounters with stumps ect

The main lake is just fine! The river channels can still be navigated very easily. Take your boat out for a few hours Saturday and you will be fine. OF course have a light for navigating at night, and just use common sense. If your finder has GPS, make a couple of tracts friday that you can follow that night! Hope to see ya there!

+1 on Smoky's advice here, and the Padgitt ramp is workable. I use the ramp immediately north of the little dock that runs out with the ramps since the other 3 are pretty silted up, but you can launch and recover just about any kind of boat there still.
