I have been checked on a bunch of lakes. I havent heard about the rope on the throw device or a requirement to have it on deck. It does make sense i guess. I do wonder if your fishing alone do you have to have the throw device?

I think it is amazing that I almost always get stopped on Ray Hubbard by the dallas police boat or a warden and yet people are constantly getting their trucks broke into or stolen on the shore. I have always wondered what makes them so apt to "check" everyone on the water. Most fishermen\women are pretty good people. Go mess with the jet ski's and wakeboarders.....lol or just hang out at the boat ramp.
