Definitely need a swivel especially if you side-hook the flook instead of through the middle of the bait. Sorry I don't mean to hijack either. . .but I had to ask, what do you mean by side hooking a fluke? I've always threw them on 17lb mono with a 5/0 EWG rigged weedless.

I would advise using line of 0.014 inches to 0.017 inches in diameter at Fork.
Go by diameter rather than pound test.
TFP Why? Because an 8 pound test line can have the same line diameter as another brands 12 pound test. Even the same manufacturer will have different # test ratings for the same diameter line when they make different ones. For example, P-Line CXX is thicker per pound test than P-line premium. If you are going to compare lines to see which you like best, you should always do so by choosing them with the same diameter not the # test rating on the box. That will give you a more even comparison of line to line.

The line diameter is probably the single most important thing about it. It effects how well the line casts, strength, how well it cuts thru the water, visibility, etc.

At Fork I'd throw 20 lb fluoro. Anywhere else I'd say 15. I just wouldn't want to get my heart broken with 15 lb line. What is a teasurer? Hes going to TECH give him a break...LOL Dangit.
