Hey guys I have braided line, and tie my usual know, the improved clinch, and today I lost two lures, not because of snag, just out of nowhere, it just came off, so I was wondering is there a different type of knot I should tie, or was it just couple bad knots? Thanks in advance!

Palomar knot. Don't cut your tag end too short as it still synch down a little more once wet and pressure applied. Other than that you shouldn't have any issues.

lure eyes or wide-gap hook eyes???? with braid and wide-gap hook eyes, I don't hesitate to super glue the eye. Braid can slip thru the hook-eye crevis very easily. Have learned the hard way.

Double San Diego or the Braid knot. Improved clinch is a terrible knot for braid, but OK for nylon mono.

Just burn the dang end people!!! Tie any knot you like then use a lighter and burn the tag off. this will put a super hard ball on the end of the tag and it will never slip through.
Take Dead Aim I'd rather be lost on the water than found at work! SkeeterEater
