I've use a uni knot on braid since I started using braid. Quick to tie and I've never had one slip.

on the double palamor, there are two versions. One has you make a second loop through the eye and then finish it as usual.

The one that I used when braid made its big on screen appearance in the mid 90's, is what I really call the double palomor. I tried this just messing around trying to find a better knot because of all the slippage I was having and I fish a lot of grass on rayburn and toledo. There weere no forums back then and I honestly feel that I invented it, but oh well.

Here it is:

Make the second loop as above and begin to finish the palomor after making the first overhand knot, make a second one, this is the key, then push bait through loop, wet and cinch down. you will have to use pliers to pull the tag end snug but do that after you have pull the main line snug, let that sucker try and slip now.

Terry Oldham's Braid Knot: You go through the eye twice and make a loop like a Trilene Knot, then wrap the tag end around the main line 5 times with 50lb braid/3 times with 80lb, then run the tag through the loop at the bottom and then back through loop at the top like an improved clinch knot. Leave about a 3/8" Tag end when you trim it. Never had the knot break or slip with braid. I can get hung up with a flipping jig and pull hard enough to bend the hook out almost straight to free it and never had that knot break or slip.

This is a trileen or a weird uni depending on which way u wrap the line... But I have switched to trileen except when I snell the hook. Has worked better than palomar for me

Tom Redington's knot advice. Braid is down about 4 paragraphs.

Agree w/ Tom Redington's knot advice.
I actually like that palomar with an extra loop around the eye-that sucker is pretty strong-less slip. You can also download the Knot Wars app for free on your Iphone-it's a great source for knots, how to tie, their strengths with different line types, etc.
I may try the burke knot-it's basically a double uni-easy to tie and good strength for all 3 lines types including braid.
