Ok let me help because Yaffe is intentionally trying throw you off the Honey Hole. Here's what you do. Put in at the North East Ramp off 66 in Rockwall. Head straight out from that ramp until you see some concrete sticking up out of the water, DONT FISH THERE, Tons of snags and no fish. Now head south until you see a swath cut through the standing timber. That is the old Railroad tracks and it makes a safe place to cross the timber. Don't even think about dropping the trolling motor no fish here either. Make a hard right coming out of the timber and head south under 30. Avoid those SW Corner rocks like the plague. Nothing but snag city brushpiles there. Keep on heading south around the park more, dead water, and then back North toward the 30 Bridge. Now you are going to see a buoy that has been cut in half. That is a warning steer clear of that area! Head under 30 and go west. As soon as you get under the new George Bush hang and hard left and there is Marina Del Rey. But here's the thing ...YOU HAVE TO HAVE FAITH. Its like the invisible bridge in the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. You can't see it until you take that leap of faith. Once your eyes have been open to the truth then and only then can you successfully pitch those jigging spoons to the Dock Posts and have the time of you life catching monster Hybrids! Whew...that was a mouthful...hope it helps!!

Ok now I feel bad. Here's a guaranteed winner! Run down south into power plant cove all the way to the water output. There is a fence there but its just to keep the less dedicated fisherman out. Its sorta like the "No Fishing in the Marina" signs. They only steer away people who don't know any better. The water is PUBLIC PROPERTY and the same goes for that output. If you look over on the west side you will see that the fence is only clipped to the post...no lock. Simply unclip it, troll inside and start casting Sassy Shads up to the far south bank and HOLD ON!! When you catch your limit which should only take 5 casts be sure and take your fish over to Chandlers Landing Marina. They love fisherman and will let you clean there for free!! thumb

(Disclaimer: This is a joke I AM NOT advocating anyone attempting to enter the water output!)

Rap, I wish you had included your disclaimer in your original post since I didn't come back to read the edited version til now! Let's just say that that fence is hanging there for a reason and they are dead set in enforcing it as they made evident by the trip I took to Lew Sterritt!!

HEY!!! I resemble that remark! (think Friday night on the phone)

Well [censored], now that I think about it, a couple of you have given me the same advice... I even bought new wire cutters...

Oh well, I can always troll for the big ones just west of Harbor Bay Marina while headed north towards 66! That's the latest hint I got from the "hybrid studs" on TFF!

Don't smoke and hadn't had a drink in 20 hours prior to starting this thread!!

All I wanted was to catch dinner for the family and I end up getting to ride in a cop car!!

I'll try again next week....
