The sonar seminar in December was so well received that we've set up another one, this time even bigger and better on Lake Fork on July 14th. - Factory Reps from Lowrance, Navionics & Humminbird
- Mark Pack deep water seminar
- Lake Fork guides conducting on-water training with graphs in your boat or theirs
How to properly set up sonar graphs and how to interpret the images are a couple of the most common questions anglers have. On Saturday, July 14th, well have factory representatives from Lowrance, Navionics, and Humminbird on hand to show you all of the latest features of their sonar and gps units. The reps will be giving short seminars on the sonar basics to help you better understand how to use them. In addition to showing off their new units, they will also help answer questions about any current or older units that you might have on your boat. And with units plugged in and running, you can learn firsthand about sonar technology breakthroughs like Side Imaging and Down Scan. Both Humminbird and Lowrance will have their latest software updates with them too. If you haven't updated your units to the latest software, bring them along and they can upload that on your units. The software updates continually add new features, eliminate bugs and map issues, and make the units run smoother. At Noon, FLW Tour Champion and Lake Fork guide Mark Pack will give a seminar on deep water fishing. Mark is truly one of the best structure fishermen in the country and his tips should be helpful to any angler from novice to salty veteran. In addition, Lake Fork guides James Caldemeyer, Rick Carter, Heath Harwick, Jason Hoffman, Marc Mitchell, and Tom Redington will be set up on Lake Fork for additional training. They will have their boats on hand so you can see the very latest units in action on the water. Even better, bring along your boat and theyll hop in with you and help you make sure your graph is set up correctly and then help you identify what your graph is showing you. Essentially, you get a 10-15 minute electronics guide trip for free! If you want to learn more about the latest in sonar technology, how to set up your units, and how to interpret them to catch more fish, heres your opportunity. Date: July 14th Time: 9 AM 2 PM (you can come anytime in that period, don't need to be there at 9) Cost: FREE Whos Invited: All fishermen & fisherwomen Where: Diamond Sports Marine, 3910 W State Highway 154, Yantis TX (Located on the E side of Lake Fork, just north of the 154 bridge by Minnow Bucket & Oak Ridge marinas) Phone: 903-383-7829Reservations arent required but if you plan on coming, please post a reply and well have add additional pros if needed to make sure we have enough people to serve everyone. I hope to see you there! Good Fishing, Tom

Taking 5 to the weigh-in occurs when opportunity meets successful execution of one's preparation.

Most of us started with flashers and/or paper graphs and have used just about everything in between. Really though, Ken all you need for Tawakoni is an old pistol grip 5'6" rod for a depth finder and if you can't touch bottom with it, you're fishin too deep!
