For saltwater would be the simple 1/8 oz jig head with a 3" silver shad swimbait with a paddletail.

For saltwater it would be a Baby Trout skitterwalk. Big trout will slurp that thing up with reckless abandon. Especially down south in Alazon and Baffin

Back when I was land locked I would take the jetty boat to the north jetty and carry a canteen, a rod and a gold spoon (and a stringer).
I carried a spare spoon on my hat.

3" Deadly Dudley swim bait, chartreuse body/red tail, and 1/4" oz jig head... This has worked for me from Delacroix, La. to Port A, Tx.

You can swim it, fish it like a jig, and everything else in between.
And if it only was one (as in quantity of 1), it would last.

just about and 3"-4" chartruse curly tail grub on a 1/8 ounce jig head. it should be outlawed for all the fish it kills.
