About 7:15 this morning I'm on the trolling motor, threading on a plastic, and fighting the wind. All of a sudden, BAM, hit a stump. For the first time ever I end up in the water. Fast forward to 9:25. Same situation resulting in my second trip to the drink. Unfortunately it cost me my phone but I was able to get to my motor and ride it back up before my partner could stop laughing and get a picture. Twice in one day? Dang, you're good!

I've been in twice in lifetime and learned 2 important lessons. First, always check your trolling motor rope. Learned that one at the PAA on Tawakoni and it gave Zell Rowland a good laugh since I went in while watching him fish Fannin creek. Partner with me got a good pic and the fine folks at the bass club put the pic on the website for several months - friends are great. Second, when fishing around stumps in the wind keep your butt seat in and use it. Nothing feels better than falling on a stump. Luckily it was flat on top and didn't get impaled. Also glad it was warm water both times.

I joined the club last October on Table Rock Lake. Had a H2O crankbait stuck in the top of a tree that sat in about 20 feet of water. Was using the slide the pole down your line technique to knock it loose and dropped the line. The rod was sinking and I knew it was just out of reach when I was leaning over the boat to save it. Being that it was about a $600 combo, I reached too far and rolled in to the water. Saved the rod, but destroyed a cell phone ... all over saving a $7 crankbait.

15. Signature images may not be larger than 600 pixels wide by 125 pixels tall. This includes logos, photos and other graphics. Also, no more than one row of images are allowed. If you want four or five logos in your signature, reduce their size to fit in one row.
