Minus having to mow the yard, that sounds like the perfect day of fishing. Congrats! Let me tell ya T.Dub...That mower was leaving a dust trail I was going so fast! lol!  I knew I had to get it mowed before the storms, but I was dying to get out and fish with my new trolling motor. I have about a 3/4 acre lot, and it only took me an hour.  I bet the motor is still smoking on the lawn mower, AND that trolling motor!

What lake? I've never try crappie fishing. What are your secrets? I wouldn't know where to start. Perhaps you could share some pointers. Super nice slabs. Best tip I could ever give anyone wanting to start crappie fishing, would be to HIRE A GUIDE!!! You could go out and spend thousands of dollars on new equipment, electronics, etc. and never come close to what you would gain with a good guided trip. Get with someone like Chuck Rollins(BigCrappie) or Brian Carter(Duck Jerky) and ask for a "teaching" guide trip where the emphasis is on learning as many crappie fishing tricks as possible, rather than catching as many fish as possible. I did that with Ernest years ago, and it was the best thing I ever did to improve my fishing. I hear people say they can't afford a guide trip, but I don't believe that. If you want to learn bad enough, start saving up. My 2 cents....
