Hitting a stump with your trolling motor usually means there's more around. Be glad you didn't land on one.....

I am a member of this club too, all I can say is be sure to have a plan to get back in the boat because just trying to climb in the back is almost impossible and that is with warm water!

Been a proud member of this club for many years (20) ..lets see there is Beaver,Fork X 3,Welsh, and Monticello. When by myself I wear a auto PFD..guess if I renew my membership..it is going to cost $20 to reload PFD. Few weeks ago in White Oak a Nitro Z9 came around the point and I thought he caught a giant he had the net..huge splashes..however no rod..then he pulled his friend toward the boat..he made it in. But no laughing on my part..been there done that..well not on the outside.

I'm a member by virtue of an assist but only once in a day. I got hung up on a underwater stump fishing from the back on my boat - my partner was on the trolling motor and steered us toward the snag - I went to go around him to get to the front and he hit the throttle on the trolling motor with it pointed to the side - that kinda threw him off balance enough to fall into me and knock my a$$ in the drink - cost me a phone too..

I took the plunge at T-Bend last weekend . My two boys sure got a good laugh and well I guess I did too . Good Memories !

Only time i 'fell' in was chasing my rod that i dropped in the lake for no apparent reason. Didn't get the rod and ruined my phone.

Haven't joined that club yet, but joined a similar club this past Saturday at 0600 in the morning. Backed my boat into the water a little too fast on a steep ramp resulting in my boat leaving the trailer without me in it. I quickly emptied my pockets and went for a swim after it.

There's no telling how many times I've back a boat into the water and I've never had that happen. Unfortunately, my partner was able to get a picture of me swimming to my boat.

I got an assist on Fork years ago. My buddy was on the bow, and I don't mean the deck near the bow. He was trying to sight fish the spawn, when I hit a stump. Just bumped him enough for him to do the cartwheel your arms thing for a few seconds, then hurl his pole in the water, and then he actually jumped in to "control the fall" (his words). I would have grabbed him, but didn't want to get caught up in the whirling 20 lb test, lizard and 3.0 hook! (Sometimes you gotta look out for number one...) Only a couple feet of water, but laughed my *ss off after I knew he was OK. I think the guy's in the other 5 boats may have hurt themselves from suppressing laughter! Only one guy not smiling in the cove that morning...
