Thanks everyone for the input. Looks like I'll get me another bucoo for my arsenal. Hopefully I'll make it to Ivie this weekend and put them to good use.

This one since I don't buy the expensive rods and it is very similar to the Veritas, but costs less. But maybe I'm the only one using the Team Diawa T rod...

I bought a micro guide Veritas, 7' Med back in February. So far I have nothing but great things to say. Light, responsive, and a ton of backbone. I was VERY much on the fence with a BuCoo though since they are American made. I just couldn't figure out the action. If the made a MHXL it would be great. it felt to liteto me. The Veritas Med felt better to me. That and the $30 difference in the micro guide series. I used the difference to buy some spinnerbaits and frogs!

I have fished with both. I have four Veratas and have NEVER broke one, and personally know nobody who has... I flip with 80 lbs braid on one of mine so don't think I baby it. I feel like the bucoo is more sensitive but they are SUUUUPPPEEERRR light action. if you want a med heavy buy a heavy etc. I would go up a level for what ever I used it for. I will say I liked it as a sinko rod though

I was trying to decide between the two as well. I ended up going to Bass Pro and handling them both. I decided on the Bucoo. The main thing that caused me to choose was the overall balance and feeling. IMO, its going to come down to which one you like holding in your hands!

veritas I have two of them and so far love them. bought a 7'3" mh just before going to falcon a couple of weeks ago and gave it a workout lost count of the 4-7ibs this rod handle them with ease. All of my other rods are falcons like them too.

It's not a fair comparison. Veritas - $100 Bucoo - $130
You have to pay 30% more for Bucco.
My choice is Veritas. I know a lot of people using Veritas and none has failed yet. Bucco is a nice one too but it just costs 30% more.
