Just got a 522c igps unit. Everything wrks but the temp reading.
It is stuck on 32 degrees f.. dunno how that change/correct the problem. The mph works but it flashes on the screen just like the water temp. Any info on how to fix the temp and to make it and the speed not flash??
Thanks

Need Help
I got a hds 10 in dash and hds 8 at bow, they are linked together. Yesterday while I was on the water with 10 turned chart, a blue box popped up in the middle of screen and said Waypoint Merge This waypoint has changed and there is no timestamp available to determine the most recent version, then under this caption it said, Local network Keep Keep I hit the softkey for network(keep) and all of my waypoints were deleted.
Does anybody have any idea's on whats going on

can you tell me how to get the blue screen option for LSS? Pallette #9 is the blue below. I like 9, 6 and at times the lime green is good and at times the red I have below can be good. Just have to experiment to see what fits your eyes the best. You can change down or si for different colors, just make sure the box you want to change is highlighted by the orange border box. See the orange box around the blue screen, that means that one is available for adjustments. If you don't know how to change the orange border box, then HOLD the page button down for a few seconds, the orange box will change to the next display. Then go into the menu and change whatever you want to change.

Can someone please clarify for me what the structure scan module actually does? One person told me that it's needed in order to have the down and side image. Another person told me that DI/SI comes with the HDS10 and that the LSS1/LSS2 module just allow you to overlay the image over your map card allowing an intergrated view. Can someone please clarify for me. Thanks

Structure Scan module (LSS-1 or LSS-2) is required for side and down imaging. The map overlay feature is available in HDS Gen 2 devices, but not in Gen 1.

I am having issues with gps data source settings. What should the data source settings be on each of my HDS units to maintain use of each units internal antenna seperately? Units are linked by ethernet through the LSS-1 unit.

When I put my HDS on Standby the screen goes dark and flashes "Lowrance" intermittently...but what else is it doing? Does the sonar tranducer continue to pulse or is it silenced. I ask because when it turn it back on it seems that it has continued to use both the sonar and LSS1 because it has a lot of recent history available and I think it is interfering with my front sonar a little.

sooner, if you have the units linked via ethernet you might need to turn off the sonar network on at least one of the units
or
you need to go into the network settings under data source and change the sonar setting to local

I did not see a post on this topic, but my local dealer installed an HDS5 with a skimmer transducer glued inside the hull to shoot the sound through the hull. Question is, is this the right transducer for this application, when I go to the lowrance site, they do not show that kind of transducer for mounting to the inside of the hull. Also, it is not level to the hull and the image is very noisy on the HDS5 screen. Is this application ok and is the screen going to be noisy because it is shooting the sound through the hull?

That doesn't sound right, but I'm no expert. A skimmer transducer is supposed be mounted to the transom to skim the water while running. If you want a shoot through hull transducer, you want this one: http://store.navico.com/Products/000-0106-69
