I got mine at academy just a few months ago. They will give you a temp tag that is good for about 3 weeks, so you can get on the water asap.
They will also give you some other paperwork, like a bill of sale, and you will get additional paperwork in the mail. Once you get the paperwork in the mail, you can take it down to your local TPWD and register the boat, and send off for the title, which will come a couple weeks later. All in All, it takes a few weeks, but you can get on the water before then, as long as you have your temp tags with you in the boat.

That sounds about right.
I got mine from a out of state company and they did about the same thing, only I didn't get a 3 week pass.

Good deal - I will be getting a trolling motor too
I looked up a Bass Raider w/ trolling motor package at direct boats and it was going to cost about $1700
Looked up the exact same items at Academy's website and cost would be about $950

Well it was fun while it lasted(4months) but I decided to get a bigger boat, sold my predator and bought a 17.5ft aluminum boat. Let me know if any you guys wanna go fishing on Monday's and Tuesday's, if I'm going and no one else you're always welcome. Thanks for all the advice from Denton Pon Jumper and FFM.

Thought I would share some pics. I needed a way to mount my fish finder, and mount the transducer in front of the boat. I run trolling motor in the rear, so the TM mount wouldnt work for me , and I didnt really want to screw holes in the boat. So I turned to PVC (AKA Grown Man Legos) This is made from 1/2inch pvc with a piece of diamond plate zip tied to the top. I have a mini 12volt battery underneath to power the fishfinder. I've got plans to add a rod holder, and measuring tape. This is for the transducer. 3/4inch pvc, notched at the bottom, and drilled to hold the transducer. Simply hangs over the front. (Pic has it mounted on the rear because the boat was loaded front first) I tried it out this past weekend, and it worked great.

I have enjoyed following this thread. Not sure if y'all have ever seen and/or checked out our Boats? If not, feel free to view our website or check out more pictures and videos on our Facebook fan page which is Go Froggin. I moved to Granbury last fall from Highland Village. You are welcome to Demo a boat any time if interested. I used to own a 2 man bassbuster but once I fished in these I was hooked. (No pun intended). Thx for checking them out. Blessing's!
