OK I tried to buy from a guy with a low post count. In PMs we agreed on a price . He asked me to send funds quickly cause he needed it for the weekend. That should have been my clue. Anyway I sent funds on Wednsday and he received them Friday. It was a cashiers check. He cashed the check pn Fri. He did not mail the product Fri. or Sat. I sent him a pm Sat asking him if he mailed it on Sat. He read the pm but did not respond. Now here I am today and still no acknowledgement of shipping the product. Not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

All ways check the good trade/ bad trade reports first. If it is a new member with a low post count only send funds that can be retracted if you do not get the product you ordered. I only hope it was not a large expense for you. Maybe he/she just hasn't made it back from there weekend venture and will send you your order soon. I accept payment via cashier's check and or certified money orders all day but have the credits to back up honesty first. But you do have to start somewhere....Maybe he will come through.

I'm assuming you mean like Pay Pal? That's what I wanted to do but seller requested money order. Being the trusting person I am I agreed as I didn't want to stir the pot. I have trust issues already and this is just another setback. Like the Gipper always said "Trust , but verify" .That was probably my mistake. Just don't understand these jackwagons.

Used Dennis "BoatWhisperer" in Hurst for some minor fixing up on a used boat I recently bought. The motor ran, just thought with a little TLC could run better.
Motor wouldn't even start after I got back from him; it's now at another mechanic.
Also; despite me taking the boat cover to him he didn't cover the boat in that last storm (with all tornados). Completely soaked every bit of deck, will probably end up having to replace some of it.
Asked Dennis for a $100 refund as that is what the new mechanic is charging to go through the motor ($90 actually), still haven't seen that money. The place he works from is a house and the backyard stinks to high heaven and is a mess. Just stating the facts here.

Gee. I hate to do this and wasn't going to "out" this person. However he has outed me in the above post so I will set the record straight.

I bought a reel from Charly C. He didn't do what he said he would do as far as ship the reel "as soon" as he got the money but he did ship the reel 3 business day later.

When I did get the reel it was clearly not "like new" (his words). I will keep the reel but am only suggesting that in the future if you are dealing with Charly C then you better require pics before purchases. His "like new" & my like new are two completely different things.
