I've been working entirely too much lately and havent got to fish much at all. However this past Saturday, Pake and I went to Lake Gilmer to avoid the crowd on Fork. I havent been on Lake Gilmer since right after it first opened, but I can tell you, I'll be coming back a lot more often. Pake and I had a blast! I used my cell phone for these videos so the quality is not that great. In fact I ran out of room for more video and picture and didnt want to take the time to delete any of the unwanted pictures to make room for more. Boy I wish that I had of. Right before we had to leave we found a 9-10 pounder nosed down on a bed. Pake was alternating between a t-rigged LFT Craw Tube and a drop shot with a trick worm. She bit the trick worm and swam to the back of the boat and he got her turned, then she turned and swam under the boat and straightened out the little 1/0 hook. If I had the net out I could have easily landed her when she came by side of the boat. Lesson learned. We caught around 25 fish from 2-5 pounds with Pake catching about 20 of them. We saw a few schools of Bass fry swimming around and a ton of beds around the bank. If you like or want to learn more about sight fishing or bed fishing the clear water of this little gem is the ticket! And there are some TOADS in there! I hope you enjoy the video.

Nice job Pake.......looks like that 7 ft 3 rod is no problem for him at all. Stan, that Dobyns 734 Coalition Weapon is his favorite rod. He absolutely loves it!
