Well it's been awhile since I've posted anything. Between work, taking care of the new dog, and other misc things that come up I've been pretty beat and haven't done much fishing at all. Been reading y'alls reports daily from my phone but posting from my phone is a pita so I don't like to do it often. This is the first time I've turned on my computer in awhile haha.

Anyways I'd like to introduce you to my new pup/fishing buddy, Rusty! He's a Heeler mix that I got from a guy that found him abandoned. The vet guesstimates he's about 5 months old. He's full of energy and always needs attention! Since he's new to me and still a puppy he still needs a bit of work but overall he's been a great dog so far and with proper training will make a great companion!







What was probably 3 weeks ago now I did get a chance to try out some of my jigs that I showed y'all for a little bit, and caught a couple fish with em!





Hoping to get out and fish soon! Really want to go to Conroe since it has risen alot, but gas prices haven't been motivating me at all and it looks like it could be rainy this weekend. Toledo Bend would be awesome since I hear it's only about a foot low now and I still haven't been there but once again gas prices suck arse

Dang thats a nice puppy you got there ! Great fishing partner . Seems like you are doing well . Training takes a bit of work but it's worth it My dogs are ready to hit the lakes too they will be camping out there on banks with me now once in a while.

awww Peyton, Rusty is getting cuter by the day!!!! I still think you should try taking him out in the canoe. Train him while he is young like I have been with Roxy.

Heelers are some great dogs. They wanna work though so ya gotta keep their brains active or they'll find something less constructive to do. Nice doggy and nice catches on the hand ties!

Thanks guys! Yeah Ash I might try that soon, definitely will need a life jacket for the both of us with this guy though haha.
