Boaters can squirt them with soapy water to break the water surface tension and they will sink and drown.

I will tell ou something else to be aware of.

ALWAYS wear a belt, preferably with a knife on the belt.

A few years ago while duck hunting I would have died had I not been wearing a belt. Because I had one on my legs floated and I am still here.
