If your line is not too kinked/scraped/scuffed... up, how often do you change out your flourocarbon? I have found the Flouro's memory to be horrible and I tend to change it out much more often than monofilament. The KVD line conditioner I use really helps out alot. I always spray it on after putting fresh line on as well the night before a trip. Typically, I change it out at least every 2 months even if it's in good condition due to line memory and the casting problems that come with that. I have manually stretched it out in the past and that works pretty well*** (attach hook to front door and walk rod-reel-line out across my culdesac holding with moderate pressure as line unkinks/stretches

I change mine about every other trip. If fishing's really good, I retie so many times/day, that I have to respool that evening.

About once a month. Maybe every couple weeks depending on the condition of the line and how much I've had to cut off

I guess I'm different in this respect. I normally leave my fluoro on 3 months before respooling. Never had an issue with it getting weak or breaking either. I do retie often so occasionally I have to respool a couple of rods that are getting used more often.

How about when the line has just been sitting on a reel unused or used very little with minimal to no abrasions?

I only catch superior monster bass, so I respool after every encounter with one of the finned behemoths.
no, no thats not true. I rarely catch.. and when I do, its typically dink class fish. I tend to stretch out the timeframe I have flouro on my reels, likely longer than I should based on limited time on the water. I do pull out the reels and give the line a good dose of KVD line&lure from time to time in order to help maintain the line. I Dont fish as often as I'd like.
Now, when I was fishing more tournaments, there was fresh line spooled prior to each event.

How about when the line has just been sitting on a reel unused or used very little with minimal to no abrasions? Example. My Dobyns 805 crsanking rod does not get used a whole lot until after the spawn is over, yet I spooled new fluoro on it about 1 month ago. I've only used it twice since then. I will probably respool it around the middle to end of May as that is when I will be putting it to work more as the fish begin to move more offshore for the summer and I start slinging big crankbaits more often. As someone else mentioned, I do not fish nearly as much as I did 10 yrs ago, not by choice, but because I have young kids so my Saturdays are spent at soccer/baseball/football fields (not to mention practices for those sports and their 3 x per week karate classes). So, my fishing is now only about 4 times per month but I only change the line out about every 3-4 months.

Heavy fishing, I'm luck to get a month out of it. It seems to rot on the spool, just like Mono. The Tatsu will last longer than any of the rest, but it's really expensive.

If it's been any longer than a month, the memory usually gets too bad and I have to trash it anyways. Maybe two tops.

I've got some that I spooled up last May (I keep track of when I respool) and it's still just fine. Trilene 100%. It's on the rods I use weekly and has yet to break. I see absolutely no point in respooling once a month or before every tournament. Do a test and see just how long it will really last!
A buddy of mine has some 20lb Gamma that he spooled up and used for 2 years on his jig rod. I know this sounds crazy, but it's true. Line will last a lot longer than you think.

It might not degrade, but its a pain in the [censored] to deal with. I'd rather put fresh line on.
