We are considering Eisenhower State Park for the tournament - http://www.eisenhoweryachtclub.com/frames.htm There is more parking and people can also use the ramp at the dam. I am visiting the park tomorrow and will post the updates Saturday. To sign up for the tournament, email dtcooper2@hotmail.com
The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

JP this will be an excellent choice so long as the state doesn't have similar rules to what I'm thinking the Corps has about tournaments....Least wise the money changing hands part of a tournament If you do have it there, I will likely make a reservation and camp at Eisenhower that weekend. They have great camping facilities. And, if y'all want to repeat the having a meal following the tournament, Wendy's catfish Restraunt is just across the dam on the Okie side (you run right into their parking lot if you go straight). If the Corp would allow it.....East Burns run has a beautiful little camp just on the north side of the Dam as well. But, it only has a single boat ramp and not much parking. And, I haven't been to West Burns run in years, but it's liable to be just as nice!!

What happened to Mill Creek? The only problem with Eisenhower is that it is completely on the opposite end of the lake from where many of the hot spots are that time of year (in my opinion), plus if you are camping, there is not an area to beach a boat and pulling it out all the time is a drag.
What about Lighthouse Maria? It is mid-lake in Little Mineral, has 1 o 2 ramps w/ parking, general store, courtesy dock, cleaning tables, cabins (not much camping) and is close to The Tackle Box and Huck's Catfish... mmm good.

EISENHOWER IS BEING CONSIDERED, BECAUSE OF LOCATION, AS WELL AS FACILITIES. THEY DO HAVE MANY CAMPING SPOTS, AS WELL AS LOTS OF PARKING AND A FULL SERVICE MARINA. HOWEVER, A FINAL DECISION WILL BE MADE ON FRIDAY EVENING, AFTER JP'S VISIT WITH THE OWNERS OF EISENHOWER. PLEASE EMAIL ME AT dtcooper2@hotmail.com IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, OR IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO GO AHEAD AND GET YOUR NAME ON THE ROSTER. PLEASE REMEMBER, LAUNCH ORDER, WILL BE RESPECTIVE OF WHEN YOUR ENTRY IS RECEIVED, SO SEND ME AN EMAIL AND GET YOUR ENTRY NUMBER NOW.
