Had a good day going today, then at 1:30 it decided to get really good. Lol. Caught my new personal best tipping the scales at 12-2. I have to admit I thought I skipped a few weight classes when I boated this one, but am happy to finally break the 12 lb mark. Came up just shy of my Personal best on best 5. Went to flt to check my scales and they were dead on. You don't know how badly I wanted to call this a 50 pound stringer.... Lol. Ugh. 8.4/9.3/9.7/9.9/12.2

Pics of of the 12-2 and a report to follow...... Picking up the kidos from school:-)

I have this Friday through Sunday available....opened up as of yesterday :-/

Drop me a line if interested.

Wow. Amazing day. I'd be thrilled with just the 8.4. Sounds like you found the hot spot.

Thanks fellas.....ok, got a minute for the report.

All phases of fish life are happening right now. (post, pre, spawn)

Where:

The South end of the lake is still producing better than the North end. Pierce all the way to government cove is far and away out producing the bus through Velano. My focus right now are areas that have more than one creek or channel that intersect. I can tell you that the first two depth changes from the main river channel are really starting to get those post spawn fish right now. 20-30 foot range is starting to warm up nicely. Use your Side Imaging and chip (Lakemaster, Nav. etc) to locate rock and scattered trees where these creeks and ditches intersect.

What Lures:

I primarily throw 1 oz Ball and Chains from paydirtcustomjigs.com with 5/0 and 6/0 gammy superline hooks.

I am also throwing a C-rig with at least a 1 oz egg and more times than not I am throwing a 1.5 oz egg to get down in a hurry and to help in the wind that we normally have here. My leaders have been no longer than 3ft and these fish are liking a leader more in the 1.5 to 2 foot zone it seems like.

Zoom swim flukes with a small 2/0 or 3/0 hook have been crazy good of late. When I go big the Plum Nasty from TLCbaits.com is as good as it gets.

All applications have been working best on a move 3-5 ft and then "soak", 3-5 ft then "soak" technique.

When:

You never really know when these fish will turn on.....the 12-2 came at 1:30 in the afternoon today. You want to be in your best spot when they decide to eat. Be patient, when you are fishing deep water, you have to have faith that you're in em and stay the course. If you are feeling rocks and bushes be patient.

Come on down and get some!

Good luck and good fishing TFF
