Would someone give me directions to Whiskey Flats? Is there a place to park? Thanks.

You can park off on the side of the road and walk down next to the bridge. Last time I was down there "few years ago" there was a dang gas rig suckin a lot of water out of there and it wasn't near as full as it should've been. Hope all is back to normal now, if it is you should get into em pretty good. Fmclee is right about it getting pretty packed down there. Good luck!

Just south of the city of Benbrook on 377 just north of 1187. There is paved parking on the east side just before the gas station, and I have caught fish both right and left of the bridge. It depends on the water level. I'm sure there will be plenty of fishermen there trying their luck. I would think going toward the lake would be a better bet.

The lake was up about 3/4 a foot high yesterday morning. So there should be good water up in that part of the clear fork. As for fish I don't know. I haven't tried it yet this year. The night before last we went up rocky creek all the way to the rail trestle. No sign of sand bass or bedding. All we saw was a bunch of carp.

If you are coming up north on 377 there is a stop light at the 377 1187 T intersection. gas stations and boob bar off on the left. The bridge with the clear fork is just the other side of that. You could also try going down 1187 to where bear creek goes under it as well.

If you get done fishing around lunch go eat at the TU club. It is a high class establishment with fine dining.
