The fact that there are no fly fishing outlets in the B/CS area is just one more reason to leave Brazos County.

I don't know, fans of SEC football are going to have a great time there this fall watching them romp the aggys.

Especially when the word gets out that visitors can just about always get into Kyle Field.

Be more RV's and 5th wheels in CS than Doans has little liver pills.

All this reminds me of when we started our FFF club, we posted notices in all the sporting goods stores in the area. At each store we asked if they sold fly fishing gear and were usually told no.

At one store that had been in business for about 2 years, we were told that they didn't sell "any fly fishing stuff... No, that stuff just doesn't sell in this area."

Upon inspection, we found three fly lines and some backing, so we asked, "Did y'all used to carry fly fishing gear?"

The salesman/owner answered, "Yeah, we had a large section of that stuff when we opened, but it doesn't sell anymore."

After further inquiries we learned that they had opened with a rather large selection of rods reels, lines, and flies.

So we asked "Did you ever re-order and re-stock the section"

He answered, "NO. That fly fishing stuff just doesn't sell."

That store closed about a year later...

In the words of Big Dale, "You just can't make this stuff up!"
