there's some good fishing there. you've sure been fishing a lot down there by looking at your last few post on the kayak forum here. i Live not very far from there, and run a airboat with spongebob on the rudders. feel free to swing by and visit/fish if you want.

Middle brazos. Howdy, Big White Dually. I've seen you there before. I believe it was last year though. I've been fishing there for quite a while. I just didn't use to post here on TFF. I'll try and say hello next time, but when I hear an airboat coming I try to get the heck outta the way so I don't become a speedbump!

No doubt Lusca! I have seen them come down the river 3 wide in the summer time down there. yes, they run in packs haha. but em folks are good ppl. they help out law enforcement when called on. i happen to know most the airboaters down there. im pretty sure they've even got together and cleaned up a big bunch of tires of tires thrown in the river up on the north end somewhere.

Yep, they all slow down when they see you and are lookin out for ya.It just really messes things up when you are on some fish in shallow water! Those tires sure suck down there but the sad thing is that they always hold fish!

That's kinda tough to answer for many reasons. To begin with the Brazos is mighty long. What general area did you have in mind? Then there is the need to consider the current flows and river height which can vary depending on rainfall, dam releases, and hydropower generating. Lots of variables that can and do influence where and when I go. If you pose your question on a new thread with some more detail as to the general area, what kind of fish your interested in, etc. I'm sure the guys can help you out. I'm still scouting out new areas and learning new sections of the river. Public access is often a big part of the challenge, but that also helps keep the fishing pressure low.

Putting in below the PK dam and also the Whitney dam are very popular... I've caught nice fish in both areas.

Thanks for the feedback. I live in Bedford so that is the area I would be driving from. I usually fish for largemouths, but plan to do a lot more fly fishing (from my kayak) this year for panfish and bass.
