10-20lb braid with a fluoro or mono leader. Leave it on there for a year or more and no issues with twist or loops. this^^ just change your leader for what your fishing. Nicely said

Biggest thing to remember for spinning reels and line twist is NOT to reel the bail closed. Close it with your hand before reeling. Also, feather the line with your finger right before your cast splashes down and that will help also.
