Miss Nancy's Bait Camp is a 'friend' of mine on Facebook. They give updates daily on Rollover Pass... and sometimes, they show pictures of what's being caught...

You're famous! haha

I was fishing again at ROLLOVER PASS on 26 April 2012 from 7:30am until 2pm. (incoming tide).
I have not luck fishing on the bank with artificial because of rough and dirty water (dirty surf) +nasty wind. I was trying to catch some specks, but from 7:30am to 12:30 pm no bite, just loosing some jigs.
From 12:30pm to 2pm, because the water start to move slow i was trying to catch some flounder with GULP MINNOW GRUB 3" chartreuse and pearl, but again no bite.
I don’t see somebody catching fish with artificial bait. I saw just one keeper red and one trout catch on another side of channel (I was fishing in the east side of channel) by two fishermen's on live finger mullet or shad. On my side one fisherman catch 2 keeper black drum on dead shrimp and some hard head.
Was not many bait and nice fish in the pass. After 1pm. the water color start to look better, but with no bite was no reason to fish until evening, so I start to drive to Houston.
ROLLOVER PASS still the best place to fish in Texas for the people who don't have boat and can't wade, but sometimes and here you can have one bad day fishing.....

Check out Miss Nancy's Bait Camp report on Facebook...

There's a picture of a 90 lb alligator gar caught on 15 lb test line, a woman named Theresa with two specks that go from her chin to mid-thigh, and another dude with a limit of specks, all 20"+... Wish TFF would let me attach pics...

If you guys catch any of my parents belongings let me know. Last time I saw my dads flat screen it was in the Houston ship channel, lol. My folks lost their house in that hurricane a few years back. They were only about a mile from Roll Over. Was great having a "fish camp" down there. Have not been back much since. Miss fishing down there.
