Report 3/7/2012: Epic trip again. -Fish after fish, after fish. You can see mark in the background landing a fish too. Met my clients for the day at the rivers edge. Hit the Evening Hole first and worked all the Red Zone. Moved all over the river and where ever we went, the fish were biting. We were on a full day trip, so we found a lot of big schools of fish, but we were on the move the whole day, trying to show my clients the whole river and hotspots. Cloudy the whole day resulting in a never ending hatch all day long. Everything was hatching. Blue Wing Olives Black Stone Flies March Browns White Nats- to small for a fly, but the little tiny trout were eating them up all day long. I have never seen so many trout compacted feeding in a small area till yesterday. Over 50+ 10 inch Rainbow Trout were all feeding at the same time. You could see thier noses feeding on the surface. 20 ft/20ft spot. Amazing to watch. The fish were tearing up "Near Deer Flies" Dan went with me finally and hitch a ride up there. He used Near Deers as well and landed 61 I think he said. Tried some of the normal flies, but action was slow on them. Stuck to Near Deers all day and landed fish after fish after fish. Mark- 77 Rainbow Trout Marks Buddy- 68 Rainbow Trout Dan- 61 Rainbows Me (When they took breaks I'd fish)- 20-25 Rainbows and one Sandbass. Another report coming up soon. We are going to fish tomorrow in the rain. Should be cold fun! Biggest fish for the day was a 18.25 inch Rainbow. Most averaged 14-15 inches. A couple Walleye to 24 inches are being landed now. Some Hybrid stripers have been showing up too.

Only time for a sneak peak from my report yesterday: Saw a kid not catching anything, while we were landing fish after fish. So I called him over and rigged him up. Did this with 3 kids yesterday. -all in the full report in a couple days..... Off to the river again for the weekend. End Result:

They are always there. Just can't fish it when they generate. Takes about 6 hours for it to drop to perfect fishing water. 100-150 cfi is perfect.
Mike only caught one fish over 18 there. Everything else was small. We only fished there for an hour or so and went to the park.

I knew where the Walleye, Sandbass, Trout and I think I saw some stripers. Anyways he got a 22 inch Rainbow Trout ( for his biggest trout of the day) and a 19 inch Walleye. I landed another albino trout. Total tallys for the day: Client: 101 Rainbow Trout Mike: 103 Rainbow Trout & 1 Walleye Me: 68 Rainbows and lost a 30 plus inch Brown Trout. I'll never forget that one. Random kids: 20 plus while I was there.

Fish after fish after fish in the vids below. A bite or a fish every minute. Warning, these vids are 10 mins each. Just me landing trout after trout. Most were 13-15 inchers. All on Near Deer Flies. Something to watch while you are at work.

Below, is what I look like after lossing a fish of a lifetime. The brown trout I had hooked was over 30 inches. another 2-3 minutes, I would have landed her. Sad day. Anyways, it was raining, so not a lot of pics for the last trip, but below, Sarah caught 30 plus fish all over 18 inches. Then the water stained bad from the rain and it was over.

so you are saying you caught 270 trout in one day. Seems like an awful lot for one day or did I read it wrong. Are those recently stocked fish?
