How does the contingency money work ? Do you have to sign up for something or just have the proper boat and motor ? We got the last check (23rd) and with contingency still won almost $1,000. Good trail, nice set-up too. According to Mike they had 150 teams.

I hope it gets good numbers up here. Payouts look nice for this trail.

It was pretty well ran. The take off was a little sloppy. THey took off a little earlier than I think most people were expecting and a lot of people that were in early flights were hung up behind the flotilla or launching as they were calling their number. Overall, the turn out was good. They had a good set up and gave away lots of free stuff from Lucas oil at sign ups. As far as the turnout, its Rayburn, and those guys will fish anything with a big prize. The fishing had been lights out up to the front and it got pretty tough. I think that probably didnt help with the turnout too. There were several guys from north Tx there though. Id be really shocked though if more than 50 teams fish all 4 and qualify for the championships. Roger, here is a link to their contingencies page. Its pretty simple I think. It is inclusive of 3 major boat brands and 2 major motor brands. http://texasteamtrail.com/tournaments/sponsor-bonus-programs/#Triton

We were running a Stratos with a Mercury, so that was $500 right out of the gate. They offer contingencies on all kinds of boat and motor brands though, which makes it kind of nice.

Very professional and well done. The payouts are awesome. Fishing was tough due to the weather. The big fish bite was minimal. We donated to the cause by finishing 67th and had a great time. Don't miss this one!
