I have been divorced for over 15 years... I can go fishing anytime I wish, don't have to explain why I need 20 rods and reels and still need more tackle before each trip... all I have to worry about when I get back home is if my dog is still in the yard.

You put up with a wife all week. Fish to get away and get some relief from them. Find a good fishing partner as shown below.

If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life,
there'd be a shortage of fishing poles

Cheer up Deerfarmer. Things happen for a reason. It could be worse. Just do more hunting and fishing!

I am with my hubby every time he goes fishing whether I am in the boat or not.....my picture is on both sides of it:) You guys just need to take your time and find you a good woman....emphasis on take your time. Make sure you know who you are getting involved with and more importantly make sure she knows who she is getting involved with:)

I have to brag on my situation. We cut-up about it alot, she says she married me for my boat and i married her for the tackle store that she runs. We talk trash to each other each morning before we get to the lake about who's going to kick who's tail that day. Trust me there has been plenty of days she has won and that's a good thing cause we have one a couple tourn. due to her ability to catch fish. I must say I have a gold mine in a wife that I love very much and can catch the .... out fish.

We need to create a singles area on this site so that single female anglers can hook up with single male anglers.

This may be the best idea I've had in awhile.

I love my Wife and I would never dream if a divorce. She does love to fish but it is a two edged sword right now. We have an 11 month old and my wife gives my hell about going fishing while she is stuck with the baby. If I ever do wind up divorced, a woman will never so much as leave a toothbrush at my house again. I do love women, but I love fishing way more. Marriage has done nothing but cut my fishing time drastically. I would never have a woman nagging me about fishing too much or taking her taking in her to dinner instead if night fishing. Forget about marriage and buy a bigger boat and enjoy. bannana2 fish

I agree! Married a lady from Lindale and she is the best! Wants to fish almost as much as I do! Never complains when I need to buy something new for fishing or for the boat! I mentioned the other day I wanted to buy a power pole for the boat and she thought it was a great idea!
