What were you throwing? He?

Now if it was the same bait, which I doubt, well, that could hurt BAD!

First tourny I won was from the back seat,at night,in Fl. I was using light line and a spinning rod - everyone else used broom sticks and rope.

I was in a bass club years ago and was fishing behind a guy all morning. I had my limit and he had zero. We were in a creek and he missed a fish, I asked if he was going to throw back and he said no...

I threw back to his spot and sure enough caught a nice 4lb fish.

He was so mad he quit fishing the rest of the day. I couldn't believe he would not try catching one he missed and then just quit fishing because he was mad.

It just happened to me last week on a lake I normally do well on. Partner had five fish for over 15 and I had one 1.6 and that one was blind in one eye.

Ditto, unless I'm with ddantidwell (backseating with him was the only time I've ever been skunked of Fork while he whacked a few big girls lol). I do my best work from the back of the boat because I quite worrying about boat position, the trolling motor, etc. I just fish what I have to work with and it works better.

Many times in tournaments that's how we learn.
But the one that sticks out for me is fishing the finals in the Ranger millennium tournament which was worth $1,000,000 for first place on the pro side and $170,000 for the coangler. It was the last day and we are on the mobile delta with about an hour left I pulled up on the causeway under interstate 10 cranking the concrete pillars and my fish keep coming off I lost 4 or 5 in a matter of 30 min that cost me a cool million,But my coangler caught everyone of the bass that struck on the same exact crankbait and won the coangler side winning $170.000

I'm fortunate in that my buddy that owns a boat doesn't fish much, so I wear him out from the back pretty regularly. I don't think he much appreciates it.

Every once in a while, I start to thinking I'm a pretty good fisherman. Then, I go out with someone like Mark Pack and get taken to school.

Ya, alot of times we trade off running the motor even in my boat. From the back I just fish. I don't worry about keeping the boat in perfect position and all that.
