Neil, i am looking forward to seeing the weight totals compared to previous years since you claimed that more fish would be caught by moving the event.

Can we put the sparring egos behind us?
It was a great event marred only by the imposition of the marker buoys the UT chose to install in total disregard to the scheduled tournament.
No reason to get mired in "he said she said".
It is not serving our purpose of promoting CPR carp angling.

The results will be posted on the CAG site. And it really doesn't matter about the numbers. All teams had a great time. Most of the teams caught fish and that's awesome. So instead of stirring the pot you should be congratulating everybody. Cuz we are all here promoting the same thing.

Would have been nice if you had given me the same consideration last year? I am not stirring the pot, just tryin to get a grasp on how the numbers played out since the tournament's dates where moved in order to catch more fish?

Tourney was moved for a number of reasons. Spawn, events on the lake and yes the hope of more fish caught. If the numbers show less fish then that's a lesson learned. So the true question you want answered is if your event was better than this one. The answer is WHO CARES. The ATC is a very fun and social event no matter where or when it is put on.

This has nothing to do with you or August. Is all about Mr. Stern and his intentions

Maybe I worded what is said wrong. Not tryng to start a fight with you either. Neil didn't make the changes the committee did. And I was on that committee along with a few more people. Running the event with no help would be brutal. We had a few glitches this year but nothing that can't be improved on. In my opinion the number of fish caught is less than last year. But the size seemed bigger this year. So next year we will make a few changes and hopefully find the right time for numbers and size.

Scott...
so who tinkled in your Wheaties,???? why is it always so danged competitive with you??? have you ever heard of FUN, and the FELLOWSHIP of people that share a common interest?? I REQUESTED A Committee. and you could have as well, when I ran it in previous years, I always had a committee...we all discussed what needed to be done, and we all went about our business, and then we each handed off some items to others because of logistics, etc, etc.

That's what TEAM WORK is all about,,the objective was to just have a good time,,,and I sincerely hope everyone did,

MY INTENTIONS were and have always been to put on a great event

so?? you can bury your petty animosities and start having some fun and enjoy the sport for what it is friendships, socials, etc, etc,,,,or you can go on your HARD core way and be totally competitive, and instead of solving problems continue to make new ones,,,,your call..Oh, and by the way, I have one earned Doctorate and two Honorary ones....I think you referred to me as "MR"--well everyone else just calls me Neil, or DOC, so there was another feeble attempt to piss me off,,Give it up Dude
Scott, I've never bashed you, and I have no idea what you're trying to accomplish,---Other than stir up Chit...do you???

Fun is the name of the Game,,,spending bank time with people of like interests, occasionally catching some fish.and once in a while a Biggie..that's what it's all about....
Give up the Ghost...what was,,,,was,,,,What is,,is and what will be is up to you....

HUGE congratulations to Bubba and Rick, and Mike and August
for their performances,,,,,,Huge Congratulations to all the TEXAS guys that broke their PB's, and grats to everyone that everyone that participated, and helped out including the Brides of Mike and August,,,,

CAG (Carp Anglers Group) has been and will always be a place where questions can be asked. friends made, and events can be enjoyed.

Neil's Intentions were/are nothing more than to be a great host, and to make the event the best it could be. Neither you, nor I can debate the fact that he is the best ATC host. I didn't agree with every move that was made, but it really doesn't matter if we agree with it, especially now that the event is over and THE PARTICIPANTS are giving great feedback.

I blanked two days at a peg that I know to be a historically poor performer, but Jim & I never complained about it. (Yes I was dissapointed, but we still gave it a more than honest effort both days). I do not believe for one minute that The Committee's timing was affected by the Fork Tourney. You knwo that ATC Organizers have to take SXSW into consideration. In addition to that, these guys looked at the rowing calendar and decided on the date we ended with

My prediction for this year was a that we would see a lower number of fish, but a higher average. I was looking for 22# plus, but Bubba ruined that with his freaking 7#er.

Give me a little time, and I will have the numbers you are looking for. Scott, If you can find the rest of the scorecards from last year and get them to me, we can have complete numbers for 5 straight years- That'll give us a really good look at how timing, weather, and pegging affect the Final Statistics.
