Went for 3 hrs today after work and caught some nice carp today, and of course some kitties but nothing big so I won't bore ya'll with those. Had a big buff 30+ bust off, soon after I get another take down. Took a while to land on Ul gear but finally banked a 15.4# common. Got baited and started looking through the pics when I look up and another rod is down. I grab it and know it's another big common, again several mins pass and it hits the scales at 14 even. Both were over 31 inches long. Steady action the whole time and we wind up banking 11 carp and 2 buffs. They arent the size ya'll catch in Austin but still a whole lotta fun on light gear. All carp and buffs were cpr'd today. Bout time for the nephews to get into them











I know some of you guys know this spot, we have been baiting it all week so get out there and have some fun They aren't far out maybe 20 yards to 30 tops

Forgot to mention the old record is 9 and change. These aren't the biggest I've caught in Worth but I'll certify them anyways till I get a bigger one like last year

Here it is 20-25 lbs never weighed it. It was Cpr'd and swam away healthy

Naw I never left, my screen name doesn't hide that lol. I target all species throughout the year. I've taken a lot of diff fishermen for carp and buffs, from bass, to crappie, to cats and they all have a blast if you put them in the right location at the right time. Carp are fun to catch! Yeah I said it! let the roast of 2fish begin lol

Oh by the way I still catch big kitties in between the carp bites!

There will always be something to learn and improve on, don't matter how long you been doing it or how much you study. The sport is ever changing. Never met a fisherman that actually knew it all, they may think or claim they do but that don't make it so

Im with you on that, some of my favorite memories are perch jerkin with the kiddos, I've got a pic on the wall from when we had a picnic on a creek. We slayed the red ears that day, huge smiles all around. They've all caught good blues, my oldest has some DD blues, but you gotta dig through the boxes in the closet for those pics.
