I have caught some catfish and carp, but no bass yet. There are some places around the lake to bank fish, but the fishing has been pretty slow for sometime. There is a pier to the left of the Rough Creek boat ramp, that has deeper water on the left side and gets shallow as you head towards the actual boat ramp. Hope this helps.

Maybe try the creek off of Benbrook that goes under the 377 bridge. I have heard of good bass, catfish, and sandbass during the spring run.
If you're too busy to hunt and fish, you're too busy.

Lake Weatherford has a couple of good places for bank fishing, particularly in the spring. And there is the marina with a crappie house. The marina cove is popular with bank fishers. The wall area is good. Lake Mineral Wells State Park is a great place to bank fish. It has numerous fishing piers, including a lighted handicapped access pier. It has good crappie fishing and great big catfish. And there is Wheeler Branch in Glen Rose. It has a fishing pier. It is stocked with walleye, bass, bluegills and channel catfish. Some fish are 5 years old now since it was stocked in 2007.

Try Bear Creek south end of Benbrook Lake or at Granbury dam.

Welcome to the forum. Bank fishing areas are limited most of the time. If you can't afford a boat like me you might consider a Sit-on-Top Kayak. The Kayak fishing part of the forum has lots of info & plenty help with questions you might have. Sometimes a nice used fishing kayak can be had cheap here & or on Craigslist. It would help you into areas you normally couldn't get to on the bank and a little exercise too. Just a thought
