It went through his waders. He would look kind of funny sticking a fish down his waders to rub the belly on the wound.

well rubbing the belly on it helps, but if you ever have a horrible itch man vs wild technique piss on it and it helps supposedly i wouldnt let this happen but bear grills would. +1

update: swelling went down but got a nice bruise around the puncture and doesn't hurt as much. now what about those feisty cats, is that normal for pre-spawn cats? Dont you get fiesty when u r about to get freaky?
