Love my Quantams, havent tried a Duckett yet though.
Personal choice, I doubt you can go wrong either way.

That Biffle rod isn't for just anybody. If you don't like broomsticks you won't like this rod. It's a lot stiffer than most, definitely more than a Duckett. It's more like the old Falcon pool cue or the El Torro. Both will wear you out but will cross eyes when you need to.

Sorry Brant didnt see your post, the Biffles are stout for sure but still my favorite rod.

I have 7 Kistler Z-Bones and 3 Ducketts I definately prefer my Z-Bones but I had a soldier out fishing one day and when we came in we got to talking to a Duckett pro staffer. Ended up he gave each of us a rod and I liked it well enough to buy 2 more for the more inexperienced troops I take out. They are an excellent rod and are priced right a lot of rod for the money.

Not sure why people do this. He asked about 2 rods in particular. Is it possible that a rod that costs 2.5 times as much might be a little better? Sure. Did he ask? No. If you can't contribute to the discussion about these two rods, then don't post. Go to the Plugs section and brag about your Loomis rods... Sorry guys, I just get tired of this... soap

If you are using heavy line stay away from micro guided rods.

Why? I use 65# braid and 25# fluoro with my ducketts and never had an issue. I might be missing something. Let me know before a lost fish cost me a tourny.

I ues a tripple surgen knot to tie 20-25 floro leader to 65 pound braid.
This is a huge knot but it has never slipped.
I have some of the new MAGNUM MICRO rods, this Knot work well with these guides.
Are you using leader with your braid?

One you build and fish with your own hand built custom rod you will fish with nothing else!

I just picked up a duckett rod, it feels very sensitive for the money, so far i am happy with it. I would buy another if i needed another rod for something
