Yes , I can sure see where the effort would out weigh the cost of the boat...Pasted up a good deal on boat, motor,& trailer this last summer for 500.00 but no papers on nothing. Even had a T/M on it . But for me just wasn't worth the effort.

Everything I buy requiring a title has a valid title. For obvious reasons, plus resale is so much easier and you get more for it with a title. I have 2 - 8 foot and a 10 foot buster boat ...All titled. Same with my 4.5 hp and 5 hp Briggs outboards...titled.

These are some good GPS coordinates if you want to try Lewisville, Somewhat on the main lake, somewhat shielded from winds. Located at Westlake park, Last year the cost to get in was $1.00 to get in, $3.00 to use the boat ramp, not sure if they would charge for launching a bass buster. You can buy a Corps pass for $30 and use in any Corps park, most parks are not Corps parks .
I have caught lots of fish in these areas, just be aware of the wind etc. The South Side of the little cut has lots of standing timber. Tight Lines All, and be safe.
+33 6' 14.11", -96 59' 52.53" - Possible Place to Launchm near the parking spot, somewhat protected cove and lots of standing timber. By the dam 17 or so feet.
+33 6' 22.68", -96 59' 42.88" - Lots of sandbass Top water mornings and afternoons once it warmx up, caught many sandbass, hybrid, and catfish in this area
+33 6' 1.07", -96 59' 0.16" - Caught 26 inch hybrid in this area mornings, beware tho if wind picks up could be a bit dangerous, but close enough to duck back int the cove
+33 6' 50.18", -97 0' 18.41" - Nice Cove, near boat ramp, but can probably launch from shore, protected from south winds, lots of bait fish here, and shallow

I like this thread. My favorite fishing spot in my Pelican Predator is the first cove you cross when traveling east on Lucas road going across Lake Lavon. You can drive down besides the bridge and park about 30 yards from the lake. Last year I could not fish it because the lake was so low. The years before I would load up on crappies during the spawn. I hope the lake stays at normal pool so I get them this year.

Thanks for the welcome. Everytime I go out in the Pelican I get to talk to somebody in a 20k bass boat. They also mention they need to get a small boat like mines to save gas going to the lake. I have a 17 footer at home but I fish my little boat as much as I do the big one. Just need to find a fairly close launch spot and I am good to go.

What depth can you run a 10'r in loaded? What depth will it float in with motor up? I have been in every other type boat but these.

I really couldn't tell ya Z , but with the T/M up out of the way , I'd say you might draw 5" or less of water . I'm still a newbe to these types of boats also....

Mines will float in 10 inches of water with me and my gear. I weigh 225lbs and carry a trolling motor, marine battery and 5hp outboard on the back.
