I fished one of the creeks this past weekend (not kickapoo (not sure what the other is called)) caught 50+ sandies and 13 crappie (all of them slabs) between 3 people within just a couple hours

I had a half hour to kill this morning right at daylight. There was maybe 10 people up close to the bridge. I caught one big male. Didn't see anyone else catch anything. I was using a silver rooster tail.

Went Saturday and Sunday. 3 people limits in 3 hours both days. 3/4 were males. Caught a couple hybrid/stripper too....over 150 fish caught in a total of 6 hours. Just have to figure out the speed of your reeling and the right lure for the day.

The right lure is always red and chartruse....lol

went about 1/4 mile down river closer to the lake. found a nice deep hole and stayed there both days. used white road runners, rainbow rooster tails, and cheap red grub jigs.

saw a guy limit with crickets. most lure fisherman are just catching a few that ive seen. i got 7 in 1 1/2 hours on lures then they stopped about 11 am for me. find the holes. fish seem scattered to me. ive never fished it this low and clear so move around if not catching. yakkin down river tomorrow

btw kickapoo was really low 2 days ago. just the creek channel. blanked in 30 minutes so left

lol trust me, I have limited when no one else was catching anything to speak of. It's all about the right speed, color, and lure. I use spider wire 10-20lb test. Shouldn't be able to see it in the water, if you can, it should be just barely.
