I was lucky enough to be one of only 4 boats on the water this morning. There were only 2 yesterday and the day before fishing that I saw anyway....Man, one day last week was crowded, there must have been almost ten boats out!  Oh well, in April and May when its crowded every weekend like every year since 1990 it'll probably all be my fault  Had a great day today with buddy, Jeff! Biggest of the day was a little over 12#. All released today. Jimmy Smith had one about 16#!

Those are some brutes... if the wind will play nice on Friday I'll see y'all out there! Wes are you going out with Matt or on your own? Fishing has been just amazing there. Let us know how you do.... Frank, I'm gonna venture out there on my own, I have got to get out there with ole Matt for sure though...I'm gonna take my Dad out fishin before I have to go back to work. I'll be sure and let y'all know...

Had a blast Sunday Matt, plain stupid crazy fishing... both size and numbers. I know my dad and brother will be talking about it for awhile...and thanks for all the info yesterday, fished that afternoon till dark it was continuous lip ripping on that poor school of stripers... definitely will be back. Awesome guy, awesome guide.

Hey Matt, thank you for the help this morning, we were on the red Skeeter. You know, it sure was cool watching you guys pull them up so quickly. That first spot didn't work well for us, only caught about 3 there. But on the other side with the birds, it went nuts. After you guys left the birds, they regrouped and we spent the rest of the day there. I ended up pulling a 30" 15.4 lb striper out, my brother did a 11.7 lb. We switched from flukes to a 1 oz white and chart. road runner with a chart grub and they were really going after them. The hybrids were super fat and the smallest was 6 lbs.
Again, thank you very much for the help and tips, you didn't have to and you gladly did.

We actually started throwing 6" sassy shad later, what a hoot  I'm glad ya'll got some bigguns! We left the birds and fish biting. Had to be in by 2, but arms were sore anyway  On the way in we saw two more groups of birds working and not a boat on them. I never saw more than a couple boats at one time all day. That'll all change in the next month or two. Guess I'd better turn in. Tomorrow looks like another balmy fish frenzy day

I don't think I have ever seen that many birds on a lake. At one point we were completely surrounded and spotted two other areas full of them with no one around. They got really busy in the stumps also. Best fishing day for us to date.

The cool thing is all the bigguns in this thread were released Now that reminds me of a variation on an old story. A teacher held a glass up containing some water in front of her class. She asked the children, "So is the glass half full or half empty? Little Matt raised his hand and asked, "So how big is that glass!" The lake is always more than half full for you Matt. Plus the boat is filled with fish... Keep the streak alive. The Lord is blessing you big time brother!

Thanks Frank, He really has! Another great day. 8 fish over 10 pounds today. Steve caught a 15.25# and Jake aka "Worm on a Hook" had a 13.5# Stripe. All big mama's released live and well. Saw 2 other boats on the water today. They were throwing them back as well. Steve   Worm on a Hook
