Fished yesterday for about 4 hours, water was never above 52.5 where I fished, a little muddy but not as bad as I thought it might be with the rains. Caught 3 fish, 2 on red traps and 1 on a jig. found lots of green milfoil, could be a really good spring if that stuff springs up. It had not grown very high as of yet.

Milfoil=a much better RR! It might start coming back, but I've rarely been able to get anything going on that lake between nov-march.

Fished from 10am to 4pm yesterday. Cloudy, breezy and cool. Warmest water we found was 51 degrees. All the fish we caught were fat and very healthy. They were few and definitely far between. We fished Indian for a few hours and didn't get a bite. Moved out to some pond dams and tree lines around Wolf and even though the water was a little colder there, that's where most of our fish came from. That was mostly main lake so we hit a couple of points on the way back to the ramp and caught a few more that way. All in trees, jigs and brushhogs. No fish on jerkbaits or traps. We tried. Surprised we didn't catch any fish up the creek. Didn't find any grass.

I found it in 4 different place last Thursday. North and South on the lake. Hydrilla was in 1 spot.

I've found 17 areas with grass. 1 has a mix of milfoil and hydrilla the rest are just milfoil as far as I can tell right now. You'd be hard pressed to find a spot without grass in Sand Branch.

Has anyone seen the long range forecast? Major cold front possibly coming in next week with possible highs at freezing! May be just like the open at Lewisville!

May be just like the open at Lewisville! of course we did...everyone knows the major cold fronts each year are scheduled on any Bass Champs North tournament day. This is my 4th year fishing it and I seriously think we've maybe had 2 tourneys without some major weather change the day before the tournament. That being said...there will still be some good sacks from Ray Bob in 2 weeks.

Takes five days of warm weather to bring Raybob up a little this time of year and one day of real cold temps to send it plunging. Good thing about the grass is that it is keeping it from getting as muddy as it usually does after the rains we have had.
